Third-generation leader: Michael Rosenberg now heads Hawke & Co, a family run outdoor brand rooted in the Rosenberg family legacy. The company was originally founded as Rosebro (rosenberg brothers) 1958 in Brooklyn and has remained in the family ever since. In 1972, Michael’s father, David Rosenberg played a key role in establishing trade partnerships in China after the opening of US China relations.
Full control regained after a period of legal and financial challenges under Zee Co. Apparel, Rosenberg became the sole owner of Hawke and Co in 2023.
Under his leadership, Hawke & Co entered the market with a focus on programming sustainability, innovative fabric technologies, and versatile design. He’s credited with maintaining the brand’s legacy, ensuring that every product reflects Hawke & Co’s DNA, values and rigorous quality control.
As the third generation leader, Michael oversees design, marketing, and sales of the brand’s products from its New York headquarters in Manhattan’s Garment District. Michael ensures each outerwear combines quality craftmanship, advanced materials, and global manufacturing to deliver top value with minimal mark up.
